Over the past week, we've been able to get most our our garden in. The vegetable garden is planted with Swiss chard, bok choi, romaine lettuce, spinach, carrots, French breakfast radish, beets, sugar snap peas, regular peas, snow peas, cilantro, and scarlet runner beans. We started our new little strawberry patch as well. We'll see how that goes.
Today we also planted some pots of osteospermum and some other little purple things. And we put in some yellow and red sunflowers in various places around the yard to add a bit of color in the autumn.
We already have lots of calendula. It's our first time for that, so we're curious if it will grow well where we put it.
We still have to put in the petunias and begonias (and, perhaps, a few other things as we have space or inspiration. And, we need to put together our big planter containers. We hope to be done by next Saturday.
