Our previous blog posts highlighted the early portion of our summer holiday with the Huber family in Calgary. You can find the complete Flickr set of photos of that time here.
We left Calgary and took the drive in two reasonable days - with an overnight at a great hotel in Salmon Arm, BC - to Vancouver. After spending a day in White Rock, we took a couple of ferries (first to Duke Point, then from Chemainus) to Thetis Island where we spend a week at the Capernwray Harbour Conference Centre. Our friends from California and Poland, John, Ania, and Daniel, who were also at the camp the week that we were there, had suggested it to us. We were glad that they did, because we really enjoyed our time there.
