Red sunflower...

Well, we're down to about ten official days of Summer. August was, for the most part, not summery at all. Nor was the beginning of September. Now, thankfully, we are getting a bit of nice weather. Just enough, it seems, to coax out the sunflowers and to give the pumpkins the first inklings of orange.

We took some pictures of our garden and some of our fall harvest, here in the last few days (or, hopefully, weeks) before the frost starts. You can access them in this Flickr album. Sequoia, of course, made an appearance in a few of the pictures as well, as the garden is definitely her domain. Poppies, mallow, some neat insects stocking up for the winter, and the last of the bachelor buttons are all making our back yard a nice place to watch the season wane.
